I am finally a California Homeowner: My Home Sweet Home

I am finally a homeowner! Yes, It’s always been my dream to have my own house. A house with a beautiful garden and a cute, nice shaped swimming pool. Guess what! I got one! I was browsing on Zillow.com when I saw this house for sale. I searched the location, the history and the details. I love everything about it. I texted my husband right away and told him that I want to buy my own house, I mean, another house that I can renovate and redesign. I was surprised that he called the agent and made arrangement to view the house. During out viewing, I fell in love with the design, the simplicity and character of the house. The interior, arrangement of the areas matched my taste and ideas.

Few days after, my husband asked me, do yo like the house? what do you want to do? I told him YES without hesitation. I love the vibes of the house, the previous owners were educated, successful and decent people. I love how they maintained the house so clean and organized.

Anyway, the process of buying a house here in the USA especially in California is way too different from buying a property in the Philippines. It was a very easy, no hassle process. They even came to our house for the signing of ownership papers and guided in every step.

Anyway, I will show you the photos of the house before the renovation. I am in the process of renovating and redesigning some areas of he house and won’t be uploading anything… (or maybe some?) until it’s all done. But maybe, I will upload some photos during renovation to give you an update about what’s happening with my house journey:)

The house is s 2 story house with a lot size of 9,627 Sq. Ft.. The house I has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. 2-3 car garag, a pool and a garden.

The previous owner left all their plants including all the two fountains. I am so lucky. I can’t wait for Spring to see my flowers bloom again.

The house is located just a few steps from the park. Yes, that’s my view outside the window. A nice park with a trail and a lake.

The masterbedroom, the previous owners placed the television in the corner. I am placing it at the center and will use that space for another purpose maybe a study/small office area.

Anyway, I will be updating you all with my house progress. For now, these are some areas of the house. I am so excited to see the makeover. Thank you for being part of this journey.

Congratulations on being the homeowner, you deserve it, babe! I like your outdoor lounge with the barbeque area.
You have a 3 car garage – you should turn one of them into your closet room!

OMG Congratulations! And the property is at 9K++++ square ft, that’s massive. The property we’re about to build our house on is not even a hundred square meters, haha! Looking forward to seeing other photos of your new home.

Yeah, I’m pretty aware that the system in the US is a lot different, more organised than in the Philippines. I mean, I learned about the renting system from my SIL who lives in Canada, but I assumed the buying would be just as uncomplicated, too.
